James Hanis pursued his architectural training at the University of Florida and received a Master of Arts in Architecture which preceded the certification from the National Counsel of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB) and Registered Architect licenses with selective states. Hanis has worked in the offices of URS, HOK + studio-e, 3D-International and the City of Daytona Beach.
Hanis’ professional career interest continues to build, improve and direct hands-on leadership that implements high-level performance measures through accountability, collaborative teamwork and effective and efficient management principles. Collectively these ideas form the basis in defining a technical process or methodology that is required in resolving everyday design + construction issues/problems associated in establishing a standard of order and intelligence to obtain the highest-quality of integrity to make buildings that will last and be artistically engaged in society. Through selective management and responsible creativity, a new design direction emerges, one that enhances the built environment and lifts the human spirit making life better.
As an Architect, Urban Designer + Planner with a high-caliber of diverse leadership experience in the management of complex architectural, engineering, urban design, planning, and landmark preservation projects in both private and public sectors. All projects have involved intensive collaboration / coordination in managing the interface of technical work and social interaction among various professional multi-discipline design + construction teams, governmental agencies + jurisdictions, public forums, and client services.
These are the formalities in shaping the program, determining direction, and defining success.
